"Permanent" jewelry is a beautiful way to celebrate life's occasions, mark meaningful milestones, and create lasting memories with the people you love. We custom fit a delicate chain to your wrist, neck, ankle, or finger — then use a small welder to fuse the ends together with a tiny jump ring, creating a seamless, clasp-free piece that's truly made for you. The term "permanent" simply means it's designed to be worn 24/7 — through life's everyday moments and its biggest ones. While it's meant to last for years with proper care, it's dainty by design, not indestructible. And if you ever need to remove it, it's as simple as a quick snip with scissors or nail clippers.
Does it hurt? Not at all! The only thing you'll feel is the excitement of owning a beautiful new piece of jewelry — and the memories that come with it!

Each appointment is about 10–15 minutes. We ask that you arrive on time so we have plenty of time to help you choose your perfect chain, charm, or connector, get a custom fit, and weld on your new favorite piece!
As many as you'd like! Bracelet stacks are absolutely stunning — the more, the merrier.
We offer permanent jewelry in two beautiful metals — gold filled and sterling silver.
*Solid Gold and Platinum are available custom order.
Gold Filled
Our premium option, crafted with a thick layer of real gold bonded to a base metal. It's more durable, tarnish-resistant, and long-lasting than typical gold-plated jewelry — making it a wonderful investment piece that holds up beautifully over time.
Sterling Silver
A classic, timeless choice. High quality and stunning on its own, sterling silver is a more affordable option for those who love a cool-toned look.
Both metals are available in a variety of styles — from dainty and delicate to slightly bolder weights — in a range of chain styles including cable, rope, paperclip, and more. Whether you prefer something barely-there or a little more statement-making, we have something for every style.
Please note: Permanent jewelry is not recommended for those with metal allergies, including sensitivities to gold filled or sterling silver metals. Those with pacemakers should also avoid permanent jewelry due to the welding process. Hart & Bond is not responsible for allergic reactions.
Your satisfaction means everything to us. Before you leave your appointment, our permanent jewelry stylist carefully inspects every weld to ensure your piece is secure and beautifully finished.
Weld Guarantee
If your jewelry breaks at the weld point, we will re-weld it for free — no questions asked. Simply bring the original chain back in and we'll take care of you.
Other Breaks
If your chain breaks anywhere other than the weld point, we'll assess it for possible repair. Because our jewelry is dainty by design, its longevity depends on individual lifestyle, activity, and factors beyond our control. For this reason, we're unable to offer replacements, refunds, or discounts for broken or lost chains — with the exception of the weld guarantee noted above. We want your piece to last, and we're always happy to help you care for it properly so it does!
Hart & Bond does not provide permanent jewelry services to anyone under the age of 7. Minors ages 7–17 are welcome with written consent from a legal guardian, who must be present at the appointment.
Please keep in mind that active sports and high-impact activities may not be conducive to the long-term wear of permanent jewelry
With a little love, your permanent jewelry can stay beautiful for years. Here's how to keep it looking its best:
Cleaning
Gently scrub your jewelry with a soft cloth, warm water, and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Use a polishing cloth to restore shine whenever needed.
What to Avoid
• Harsh or abrasive cleaners that can damage the metal
• Chemicals such as bleach and chlorine
• Lotions and perfume — if your jewelry comes into contact with either, rinse it right away • Self-tanner, as it can alter the color of your chain
• Activities that may put your jewelry at risk of snagging or pulling
Good to Know
Everyone's body chemistry is unique. Some people naturally produce more oils or acids that can accelerate tarnishing — this is completely normal and not a reflection of the jewelry's quality. The durability of your piece also depends on your lifestyle, daily activities, and other factors personal to you.
Pro Tip: We carry a jewelry wand cleaner that's small enough to toss in your purse and perfect for bringing back your chain's sparkle on the go. Ask us about it at your appointment!
TSA & Airport Security
Yes! Permanent jewelry is considered fine jewelry and TSA does not require you to remove it at security checkpoints. Our dainty gold filled and sterling silver pieces are non-ferrous metals and typically will not trigger metal detectors. You can travel worry-free with your permanent jewelry!
X-Rays
Your jewelry may appear on an X-ray image, but it does not interfere with the procedure. Always check with your specific medical provider, as policies can vary by facility.
MRIs
Most MRI centers require all metal to be removed before the procedure. If you need to remove your permanent jewelry for an MRI, simply cut the small jump ring with scissors or nail clippers, save your chain, and bring it back to us — we'll re-weld it for you!
